SPCC (Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure)
If your facility stores, uses, transfers, or otherwise handles oil and there is a reasonable expectation that an oil spill would reach navigable waters of the United States, you may need a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. If a site has the potential to store more than 1,320 gallons of oil (approximately 32 barrels of oil), in aboveground containers, the SPCC Rule may apply to your facility.
Sport Environmental prepares SPCC Plans for sites that are applicable to EPA's SPCC regulations and can help you document which parts of your operations are not applicable. SPCC Plans are generally valid for a period of five (5) years before a review and renewal is necessary -- Sport Environmental helps our clients track relevant renewal dates and is available to update plans whenever changes at a facility require an update (e.g., a tank is added or removed from a facility, tanks are relocated within the same facility, tank contents change, etc.). We also assist clients with meeting their required annual training and inspection needs.
